Operating temps - Good/Bad? What are your temps.

Hi, I think my car is running a little too hot. My cooling fan is coming on very often, and it never has before. I have a stock radiator, stock fan, 160 thermostat, and I just flushed out the system yesterday and there is no difference. When I am driving on the highway going like 65-70mph, the car drives the hottest, which doesn't make sense. I have an AutoMeter water temp gauge(installed in the stock water temp outlet), and it has been running from about 202-210. From what I have been told and have read, this is high. It also is higher than what it has been doing earlier.

I am uncomfortable driving spiritedly with these temps, and tomorrow I am taking a 500+ mi road trip. Please tell me if this is too hot, and if I am off the wall thinking this let me know too...

Please post your operating temps. Post highway temps, and city temps. . .

Thanks in advance,
Charles

Thanks Aaron! Great writeup. Actually yesterday morning I was driving the car on the highway for 30 mi w/o the undertray(B/c I was fixing my a/c). And this was when it was reaching 210-212 on the highway! Hopefully putting it back on will help the highway temps.
