Opening up 5th and 6th ports

I tested them today as AaronCakes says on his site, put some grease on the two rods that come out near the engine and did a test drive and the grease barely moved so I dont think my 5th and 6th ports are coming in at around 3500-3700RPM like theyre suppose to, how can I open them up? I test drove a black GXL and noticed it picked up big time around 3500RPM and noticed mine didnt so I tested them
