I have an 89 vert. Noticed that the passenger seat would not go back as far as the driver seat. Took the seat out and found that there was a metal stop installed in the seat rail that limits seat travel. The stop was installed from the factory.

Anyone know why this is here?

 

You need first to fix your sig so that it is no more than the 11 lines you are allowed here.

 

and that seat thing is typical to most S5 cars

 

So the passenger can't sneek up on the driver from behind.
