Im guessing this is a chipped ecu.

If someone could help me out that would be cool.

It reads 4-BEATFC and under it says for BoostUp.

If you do a search and some reading you'll find that JDM ECUs are problematic when you try to put them in a USDM car.

If you want a good chip , get a us ecu and get an rtek chip.

All can be done for around $200

no, the original ROM chip isn't flashable, so to make it flashable, you need to remove the old ROM, and replace with a different chip on an adapter board.

Sorry to bring an old thread up, but I too have the same ecu in my s5 na and up until last week has it been fine. It sends off my check engine light, weaker start when hot?, and not to mention worst of all, it makes my idle very VERY unstable. I know these sound like a a weak engine however, I only have 15k of light driving on this.
I swapped the oem Canadian ecu and it magically fixed everything even with an unset tps. I highly do not recommend jdm ecu through my personal experience however it could be different for others

Why would you have a JDM (turbo) ECU on an NA engine?

The previous owner traveled to Asia for work and got a rom flashed for an na. The ecu code is the same as an na s5 but has a "Y0" at the start and the knightsport stamp or whatever it is. I guess they were a few made like this but the previous owner went in person 5-6 years ago when he says
