once you go turbo...

you never go back, i just got me a 93 FD and im addicted to boost. now i want to do a t2 swap because all motor aint cutting it for me. so, i got a few questions for a t2 swap, if i did search then i'd be reading thousands of useless information just to find out something. for the guys who got their t2 motors rebuilt and ported: i have a S4 short block and do they use the same engine or do they just make another engine w/new housings and all the other crap?? cuz i've seen other t2 motors and all the parts are like blinging new, or is that just some paint??

Its just paint. They usually clean the housings very well, port them, repaint the outside of them to restore the corrosion resistance, and then reassemble with the new seals.
