Once again I need help with judging the value of a car.....

Ok Since my car was totaled thanks to a man "failing to yield" and causing me to slam into his F100 and destroying my beautiful 87 Sport I now have to look for another Daily Driven FC. I knew of this place that had an S5 GXL in town so I wend up there and checked it out again today. I left a note and got a call today and will begin the negotiations if possible to get this car. It is a noble white GXL in fairly usable condition. The paint is chipped badly in some areas which is of little concern to me. The tirs are going flat somewhat from sitting for a while and the engine is said to be "blown" the interior I have yet to see but I hope it is in good shape. The exterior has few blemishes other than the bad paint. The passenger's side tail is cracked a little and will need to be replaced. I am thinking about offering 300 dollars from this assesment I will be taking pictures of it hopefully tommorow and see the interior and what else is wrong with it. I want to hear what you all think. Thanks!

I'd like to see her first . Heck, if you can get it for $300...i'd say go for it though. If the motor is really blown *cross your fingers * then I'm sure you'll get it cheap.

true-true, get a quote from a mazda direct . they always over charge for the motors, then rebuild it . save that money. and for 300.00 a gxl. hopefully all the power things work, except for the ever, low wiper and rear hahahah damn these japs lol. see also if the sunroof has damage, maybe you might even haggle him to 250. since the car has been sitting for a while and the motor doesnt turn, make sure you check the undercarrige, if the car is sitting in a place there in Tx with rodents, they tend to sleep and chew on wires those little bastards

Yeah, I would agree with the $250-$300... I paid $100 yesterday for a 88 10th AE with only 88K on it, but no motor or tranny.
