OMP working? How to tell.
I am installing a used 91 motor in my 91 vert today. Before I start it, I want to crank the motor without fuel and spark to get oil pressure first.
It's an S5 so it has the Electronic OMP. Will I see oil flowing through the lines on their way to the oil injectors? After I get it running, I am going to switch over to premix but I need to be sure the OMP is working until the switch over.
It's a fairly low mileage motor with good compression so I want to be sure It won't be damaged due to faulty OMP or something. Should I squirt a little oil in the lower plug holes also?
Thanks
