OMP removal/gasket question?

Do you have to remove the lower radiator hose to replace the OMP o-ring? I have the air box and air pump out but the rad hose looks like a PITA to get around and I dont want to drain the coolant. Can you work around the hose?

Yes it is under that radiator hose all together. You need a long extension and a 10mm to unbolt the upper left hand bolt. You'll have to guess where the bolt is becuase it is hard to see it. The other two are visible from your vantage point.

You're going to break the MOP lines during this process unless you have replaced them already or you have hands made out of cotton.

I actually did replace the o-ring w/o removing the rad hose. If I'd do it again, I'd remove the rad hose next time. Not sure if I did a good job so I'm mad at myself-it was hard to put the o-ring in and keeping it in place. It dosent leak for now so I'm happy about that.

oring

Right or wrong not sure, but i used a little hylomar hpf to hold the new oring in place for re-assembly. In the end I found my oil leak was due to a cracked opm line.
