OMP Removal
Ok, this all pertains to my 88 N/A SE
Ok, I got a bunch of the stuff to remove my OMP and go for full-time pre-mix. I got the block off plate, and enough gasket material. One thing I don't have though is anything to plug up the oil injector holes with. Is it ok to run my motor for the time (I just run it for 30min once a week in my garage) without them plugged. And also what size/thread bolts do I need to get to plug them up?

You can go to Hoemdepot/Ace somewhere and get bolts to match. I had to cut mine to length. I would have to guess that running it without the holes plug would make the car run very bad , and would be a slight bit dangerous as something may end up in the engine besides air and fuel
Most places have little screw in testers to find the right thread count. take you OMP injectors and see what they are, then cut them to length.

capped. they are some pretty big bolts
Take the oil injectors to a hardware store and tell them that you need these only in a solid bolt. Get the shortest bolts you can find. They will find the thread pitch in a few seconds. no one seems to keep ledger of the sizes around here-- im trying to start anyhow...
this will cost of all of $2.00 + gas to the hardware store
as opposed to having some big... BIG vac leaks. not even sure if you could get your car to run having those open. At nothign else, just leave the injectors installed and cap off the air and oil ports on them.

Well, I'm about half done. Had kind of a stressing day at work, so decided to get at least part of the work done when I got home. So after spending a good thirty minutes getting my fan shroud off, I eaisly locate my OMP. And after studying my Haynes manual for about twenty seconds, I unbolt the "Oil line banjo bolts" and pull all the oil lines out. After that it was simply a matter of finding the bols that held the OMP on, and it pulled right off. Then I just bolted my block off plate on, and there was no probs. Started my car up, and let her get up to temp, and check for leaks, and found not a one. Only problem I've noticed is now there is a very slight hesitation if i get on the throttle real quick. It'll just bog down a little bit, but then picks right back up. I'm guessing this is because I didn't cap off the lines and now they are sucking in on monitored air. But tommorw I'm going to take my intake manifold off and try to locate my oil injectors and try to get them out and plugged up.
