Im worrrying about my ports openin up, and if they wont ill do it electronically or airpump activated, but if I dont have to its evenbetter. I want loud exhaust, dosent have to be nice sounding just loud. I have e check so i need a cat, so heres my question. Since im dumpin entirely too much money on my rims and body kit, im goin cheap on exhaust for now. AND NO IM NOT A RICER. haha, Will my ports open up if I run a high flow cat without any mufflers? will the pressure from the cat be enough?

haha, seriously Im not, and its not like wont have **** done to it next spring, I dont want to dump money into performance right now because winter is here in Ohio, and I wont be able to drive fast with a stock car anyways. Thats why Im throwin on the body kit and ****, so i can get it painted in spring along with some bolt on horses.

 

Jsut a high flow cat should be enough to open your ports.

 

Ok, I was thinkin, if you 86 the muffs (with no cats), obviously, the 5th and 6th ports wont open. So.....what if you get the mufflers cut out, and put in a piece of pipe.......with slight bends!!!!! haha, how bout that?

 

Hey "its nice to burn rice", lol, come visit me up towards cleve. sometime, we'll have a little race My 6 ports are taken out, so im not having to worry about whether they work or not... your car will be loud as hell, like mine, if u dont run any mufflers. Trust me, you probably want something.. just get some "turbo" cheap *** mufflers for like $20 each and throw em on. PLEASE do NOT put a body kit on now, if you are not going to paint it until spring...

 

If you get the modified header from Mazdatrix it will open the 6 ports without anything else. The header opens them.

 

Is this rice? no, this protege wins many races-not street races, as far as I know.......nothin wrong with rice as long as you got performance to back it up........
