Angry ok rebuild was about 6 months ago... now low compression...

i went to the local mazda repair shop to get a fluctuating idle fixed ... meanwhile while i was there i decided to go ahead and ask why i may still be flooding out all the time and having to use my fuel cut off sitch when i had just got a rebuild u know? well i have been getting told LOW COMPRESSION though i was hopingjust a leaky injector or something instead....well they didnt do a compression test but most of the mechanics told me that it was likely low compression...that pisses me off.... im thinking about doing the ATF trick but id like to know how some of u guys have done it... then maybe the results of doing it... i ask to hear how u did the ATF trick because i know some of u have ur special ways to do the trick in which u think it works better... well id just like to hear some feedback ok? thanks guys

Who did the rebuild Jack? Did you replace or have the injectors cleaned? Just have Jeff over at Maztech do a compression test. Prolly charge you $60 or so. Its better to know for sure.

How much did you pay this guy? Did he tell you what kind of new parts he was going to use? Any warranty?

Jack, we just did the ATF trick on my car a few days ago. Come on by and we can show you if this what you want to do. I would do the compression check first though.

Dude that sucks...

I live in Pinellas County and am getting mine rebuilt by Scott at Mazsport. I'm getting a 2-year warranty, and the rebuild with port work is costing me like $2400.

It costs 15$ for a decent compression gauge. Why pay someone else 60 to do something you can do yourself in 10 minutes?
