Ok hope is not the end for my baby
I have an 88 GXL 113k miles, Ok the day before yesterady went to the gas station to fill the tank after that while i was going just like a half mile from the gas staion my car loose power low idle and start to launch a lot farts at low rpms, so i pulled and rev the car to 3,500 and car goes back to normal, and didn't see smoke cuz it was at night well i get home and do it again, i was in 1st then 2nd at 2k the car starts to do the same ****, lot of farts very low power so i stopped at my girl house , yesterday i changed oil sparks oil filter and it was all fine but it last like 30 min, so again i stopped it, so today i take it to a ride and same **** but more frecuent and lots of black smoke was coming out when it start to lik"flooding" and i reved , so what do u think ? is my car ready for a rebuild?
BTW in just two days ate half tank of gas, car start right away and engine feels good but then start to run shitty and almost wanting to die , thats when i rev tthe car to 3k.
What do u think?

How can it be toast? if runs well it startups right away no flooding problems, when it bog down i just need to rev it and the car runs great but then it do it again. It cant be the 02 sensor its new, neither the injectors i have no flooding problem. What else could cause that?

There is a sensor for the accelerated warm up system in the cooling system. It tells the ecu the engine is cold and it starts throwing in a ton of fuel (thats why yours runs fine at 3k). Repair the wires or replace sensor.

Like I told you man I don't think you would loose an apex seal before those oil rings go out so its probably what drox mentioned keep your chin up man. She WILL be OK!!!

Ok we are trying to troubleshoot the problems and I drove the car but it ran with no problems. Then he go into the car and it started doing it. It will sputter and have no power. I cleaned the intank filter and it didn't really help. At the moment I don't have my DMM to test the TPS so we are trying to eliminate all other possibilities. Drox- Where is the sensor your talking about? Also Any other ideas as to what could cause sputtering below 4k RPMs and it will missfire at idle and sometimes drop to 500 rpms and other times be 750 and just fine. I am thinking we should try to check the AFM, CAS, ECU, TPS, and injectors. But what is most likely the problem here?
