OK for engine to sit until I can rebuild it?
I am going to rebuild my engine sometime soon, but I can't pull the engine for at least another month when I move into a house that has a garage. I have heard that it can be bad for the engine to sit when there is a coolant seal leak, but what if you don't have a coolant seal leak? I have a blown rear apex seal, btw.

If you have to leave it for a while, pull the leading plugs & squirt some MMO in the chambers, then crank it a second to spread the oil & protect it.
Then reinstall the plugs & get back to it later.

Don't use things like MMO. MMO is very thin and will just run down to the bottom of the engine. Use a proper fogging oil.
If the engine ate a coolant seal, take it apart NOW otherwise you will come back to a rusted mess with few usable parts.

Coolant seals are fine, just an apex seal. There was about 25k on the rebuild and apparently something got in the intake while I was getting the injectors cleaned and popped a seal when I started it back up (theres a thread about it somewhere).
As for pulling the motor, it really isnt feasable at this point. There is basically a parking lot in front of the duplex (not even a driveway) and there is absolutely no room inside the house. Every available storage space is crammed, and we are now using the sofa for storage, so there is nowhere to put an engine.
Would it be a good idea to drain the coolant system now, just to be safe?

My driveway is poorly cemented and has an incline, Its surrounded by woods, so theres leaves and junk everywhere. My car seems to be leaning. My engine has been siting for months when I took it apart I stored the parts in plastic bags in a dog-house.
Im waiting for parts to come in. Everything seems to be ok so far, besides the anoyence of poor conditions.
Id drain the coolant.
