OK couple questions about air pump/emissions removal (previous owner)
OK, so I am working on this damn POS of mine and realize the previous owner removed the air pump, which is why I only had one water pump belt that I snapped Sat. @ 85 mph taching about 6800 rpm , and he left the cats on it.... now I am not in an emissions state so it being a turbo car and > backpressure = win is it alright to
1. go ahead and have the cats removed (assuming track only use )
2. I need to find a douple rib alt pulley so I can run twin belts on the water pump right?
3. If I was to go to a local guy I know and have the exhaust bent what size should I have him run? 2.75 or 3"?

yea if air pump removed cat gets no air will heat up like a bitch and prob ruined the core...anyway since your a t2 then def go 3 in piping preferably duals(RB). here in fredburg they dont even look under car so i get inspected every year w/o cat. if air p0ump removed make sure the po did it right(remove air muffler under pass headlight, block off with plate, etc). as for the double alt pully...try the yahoo belt trick..thats what i did and car runs fine....its one big belt that you wrap around all pulleys. cost like 4 bucks at the store. ill try to find the write up for you on this. hope i awnsered all questions
