Oil in the TB?

I took off my tb to remove the thermowax and what not, and in the spacer between the tb and the manifold there was motor oil sitting in the vacuum passages in the spacer.

I said to myself...hmmmm this doesn't look right!

The car runs fine.

After 100,000 miles the side seals start to allow a little blow by to the oil sump.
That pushes some oil vapor up into some of the emmissions plumbing where it eventually condenses in the intake.

The short answer - a little oil in a high mileage motor's intake is normal.
