oil/smoke question

oil/smoke question

when i put oil in my car it always smokes the next day after school on startup, and goes away once warmed up

i am using penzoil 10w-40, should i try a different oil?
(especially with winter coming up (newjersey)

I would check ALL of your fluid levels after the smoke.. The smoke is SOMETHING burning.

do u think it could be extra oil burning out
like leaking thru my seals or somthing?

Yes. Which is why you need to check the levels. read the FAQ as well. It might give you an idea of where to look.

The "only after an oil change" thing is weird though.

since it only smokes when you put oil in, maybe oil is entering intake tract via the pcv system. or your crankcase is being pressurized . don't rule out internal burning though.
