oil smoke after high rpm
oil smoke after high rpm
Hello, I am from Venezuela, I have been following the forum for years I have a s4 88, It has been made a 13brew single turbo swap. the problem is when the engine is at high rpms and I release the throttle, a lot of oil smoke comes out, the turbo I already changed it and everything is the same, the exhaust outlets have no oil, and my cranckcase ventilation is open, there is no oil in the intercooler. . What could it be? in a moment I put a video to show you thanks
edit: i have a 3mm apex seals whit solid corners, omp delete, premix ratio 1oz per gallon tcw3.

Let it warm up all the way too before revving it to give any residual oil a chance to burn off.
Pcv valve probably has a cracked diaphragm. They’re not cheap the last time I looked when I had this issue 5 years ago. Well $50-70, guess cheap is all relative.
disconnect the pcv valve and go for a drive and see if the problem persists.

how many miles/years since rebuild? Is it possible vacuum at high rpm is sucking oil past the oil control rings?
you mentioned no oil in the exhaust ports but it has to be coming from them, maybe not enough to make it build up on the exhaust ports. I can’t think of a a definite answer for your solution but maybe something to think about.
If the pcv system is not at fault and the turbocharger is good with no bad oil seals, you could have worn oil control rings on the rotors. This is a symptom you will have when the rubber hardens and shrinks on the oil control rings.
my engine is newly assembled it has not run more than 2000 miles, the oil control ring o-rings are new viton from atkins. I'm going to do some tests and mount a video, it is possible that I am using a lot of premix ratio??? no turbo oil restrictor?? its a gt35r
