Unhappy oil prob?

o.k. about 1200 miles ago i changed my oil with valovine or however you spell it.. max life stuff..that is made for high mileage engines....i made sure and didn't get the sythentic , and got the regular...now 1200 miles later my oil is still full...
when i had the castrol gtx in i had to add a quart every thousand miles... i know this is to lubricate the apex seals and stuff..
but now i am worried that since the oil is still at full that either the pump that squirts it in the combustion chamber isn't working or the oil isn't being burnt up..
so I'm worried about my apex seals getting lubricated
anyone else use this valovine max life stuff?
should i be worried about my apex seals and engine?
another quick question...where does everybody get gaskets and stuff like that for our rotary engines and diff and tranny?

thanx for the advice in advance!

A quart every thousand miles is too much
I will be two quarts low every 3000. or about the time to change the oil. I have used the same stuff before, and I don't really like it. If you want to go to syntheic, use Mobile 1, it burns the cleanest. If not just use the regular Valvoine.

if your worried about the oil metering pump definately start using premix in the gas tank. i just started doing so on my new rebuild as a matter of fact.

as far as max life goes, im not sure that its got any benefits w/ the rotary engine. its kinda like a high detergent oil thats got additives for stuff our cars dont need. im not sure about whether it burns off or not

what gaskets are you talking about?

I'd worry. Go to http://www.iluvmyrx7.com/Technical_I...ice_manual.htm and download the 88 manual section on LUBRICATION and follow the instructions for seeing if your pump is putting out. Its a free download. Graphics, easy to understand etc,. and free while its still there.
