Oil pressure (yes I searched)

Here's my problem right now oil pressure won't past 30psi at normal driving, at high rpms will drop to 0, I searched and found that it could be a bad sending unit or the e-shaft thermo valve, now the weird thing is that today I was on my way to work on N I35, in 4th and oil pressure at 30 then I shifted 5th and pressure began to drop to 0 the more revs I gave the fastets it dropped so I kept it at 2500 revs and pressures was at 15 psi, then all of a sudden started to raise all the way up to 60 65psi downshhifted 4th and gave it a good rev and it worked all the way to work even in 5th, I get out of work about 8 9 hours later and start it up everything is fine oil pressure is ok, start driving get on S I35 in 3rd at 4k rpms and pressure is at 60psi, then after 10 min dropped again to 30psi in 5th at 3500rpms and it stayed like that till i got home, Wich one could it be? I think is the sender unit, b/c either way I didn't notice any performance change on the engine, always steady idling great not shakes or anything like that (I'm runnign premix also) respond quickly with low or high pressure.

Which one could it be? I there anyway to check both?

Thx

Sounds like your sending unit. Try getting an adapter for a mechanical gauges from Mazdatrix or Racing Beat(there are others if you want). At least that will tell you exactly what your pressure is.

Confirm with a good, known, mechanical pressure gauge first!
This will tell you if it's the sensor or not.
If it's not, it can be the front oil cover o-ring and / or oil thermo pellet.
