Oil pressure woe's.. Help!

Hey guys. my 87 GXL and Myself have a question about oil pressure. when the car is started and warmed up, the oil pressure reads zero. however, when i rev the engine or drive it, the oil pressure goes up and is stable.

Whats worrying me is how it sits at zero while idling...that kinda worries me. Anyone know if this is normal? of if it's posing a hazard to the car?

Odds are it's the crappy stock sender. I've replaced mine with new 3 times, fails just like yours is doing within a year. Better set up a real pressure gauge to make sure, though.

i've driven it 300 miles since i got it, so I'm guessing its just the sender. Hopefully. But yeah, like you said, i'm gonna try an oil pressure gauge.
