oil pressure unit connector??

on the end of my pressure sending unit is a round connection, but i do not see anywhere on my harness a connector that will match that? i kno its suppose to be a yellow with red strip wire on the engine harness, bound together with the oil level sensor, but that wire is connected with a retangular connector? and then its connected to the heat unit sensor i believe ( a small square black box?)

can anyone help me?

thanks, ut

Hey Mr. UT,

There should be 2 wires in that area with rectangular single connectors on them. One wire is yellow with a white stripe on it. This connector slides directly over the single spade water temp sender below the oil filter. The other one is yellow with a red stripe on it. If you look closely at the connector on the end of this wire, you will see that there is a slot cut into one side of the connector. Looking at the oil pressure sender (The big can), you will notice that at the top of it there is a piece with a grove under it (kind of like a head of a pin). This connector is attached to the sender by turning it sideways with the slotted side facing the sensor, and sliding it onto the head of the pin gizmo on the sender until it clicks (locks) onto it. All done. Oh yeah, there should be a mating black connector with a yellow/red stripe wire on it that connects to the black thing (a filter capacitor to insure the guage does not react to surges). All this is on the lower wiring harness (the one under the battery wires harness) on the drivers fender. Hope this helps ya out!
