Oil Pressure regulator ????

I was thinking about putting a 1993 mazda oil pressure regulator in my 89 turbo 2. I have an upgraded Turbonetics turbo and twin stock FC oil coolers that are plumbed in parallel.

My question is, will the oil pressure be too high if i use a 3rd gen oil pressure regulator? ( i remember something a long time ago that 2nd gens dont handle extra pressure as well or something like that). Would i need a restrictor in the feed line to my turbo to keep too much oil from going through the turbo at a time?

Anyone else done this? I searched and didnt find anything....

Yes it will. If you want higher oil pressure then use the Racing Beat 80psi OPR.
