CA Oil pressure problem???

So i have just recently picked up a 87 n/a and runs great. idles fine, no overheating, but starting yesterday i noticed the oil pressure gauge jumping all over the place, highest it would go is a little over 60 and then would sometimes drop down to around 10 or so. Tried to see if there was a pattern fit it, but this morning i drove it for a good 45 mins and gauge was reading close to 0 almost the whole time. any ideas on what could cause this?

there are no oil leaks that i have found. car still idles fine...please help.

I would say the guage or the sending unit is bad. There is a black box on the top of the bellhousing responsible for absorbing fluctuations in current.....check that little black box. Its about the size of the tip of your pointer finger, to the first joint.
