oil pressure problem

SC oil pressure problem

after i did my auto>manual swap i also did i tune up and put new oil in my car.

now my oil pressure almost reads at 0 and the other day is was reading just under 30.

anybody know whats wrong?

Probably just the wire to the sensor

Check that you didn't knock it loose, and that the contacts are nice and clean.

It's that big brass mushroom looking thing under your oil filter, with the yellow/orange (IIRC) wire.

It's the only one with a slip on connector, a big plastic rectangle.

I have a thread I started floating around...search "picture sensor reference" with my user name under advanced search. One of the pics shows the oil pressure sensor.

You can verify with an external oil pressure gauge. If the external gauge says the pressure is fine, then it's the sensor.
