Oil Pressure Problem

I have a problem with my oil pressure... I think. It may be my oil pressure gauge though. I noticed yesterday that while I was driving down the freeway, my oil pressure was low, at 30 and then it dropped to 0. I freaked out and pulled off the nearest exit ramp and pulled into shucks, which happened to be next to the exit ramp. I checked my oil earlier, and it was low. Anyways, as I pulled into shucks, my oil pressure returned to about 60, what it usually runs at. I went in and bought a quart of oil and put it in to see if that would help any, but it didn't do much. Today I was driving, and my oil pressure guage dropped to 0 and will not go up. The car feels just fine when it runs. I noticed that the oil pressure gauge went to 0 and stayed at 0 today after I changed the fuel filter. I got the car 2 weeks ago from a private party. It has about 14k on rebuilt engine rebuilt and installed by mazda and same on transmission. Please help.

you may have knocked the wire off of the sending unit. It is a lone wire main color is yellow i think. It has a grey plug on the end the slides over a nipple on the sending unit. looking at the engine bay from the drivers side, the sender is just below and to the left of the oil filter. try cleaning off the plug and nipple it goes on before you put it back on.

I had the same problem, and it was just a loose and dirty connection to the sender. Make sure it's clean and tight.
