Oil pressure loss?

I have been haveing problems with idle surge I think I may have fixed it with a new tps and BAC but the oil pressure has droped quite low sometimes almost none could this be a bad seal on the BAC or is it Apex seals not working right do to the fact the idle has been off for a prolong time causeing it to gum up My O2 is shot I know becase of this. Thanks for the help.

First question is what are you using to read oil pressure? If you are using your stock gauge then you should get an aftermarket gauge for oil pressure. Or you could buy a mechanical oil pressure tester that you screw into the block where the sending unit is. (Round brass colored thing below the oil filter). Test the pressure with the tester and then remove it. Mine cost $25.

The stock sending unit is not very good and prone to failures. You can get a plate from MazdaTrix that will go between your oil filter and oil filter stand. This plate has taps for pressure and temperatures. The plate is acctually made by Racing Beat.

You really need to get pressure numbers from something besides the factory gauge before you KNOW you have a real problem.

Sorry, I forgot the link to the Mazdatrix page
http://www.mazdatrix.com/b7.htm
The adapter is towards the bottom of that page
