Oil pressure guage only reading 30lbs/in2 max!???
I just recently swapped a new turbo motor in my Turbo II and at first my oil pressure gauge wasn't working at all. So I checked the wiring and it all checks good, the gauge works because when I apply voktage I get a fake reading. Swapped the pressure unit itself thinking the one with the new engine was bad.... still no pressure. SO then I dropped my oil pan and found that when I had to swap front housings earlier due to the OMP differences ( S4 to S5) I forgot to install the oil pressure control valve (new engine was bare block and had most oil accessories removed). Now with it installed i get a reading slightly above 0 at idle and when I am driving I get a reading no higher then 35 max! It is the valve I used in my old engine and it worked fine, think it's bad? Thinking about just getting a new gauge(Defi or something). Has anyone had this problem??

Thanks, just ordered through mazda trix. **** I totally forgot about that little bastard, been about two years since my last rebuild. This should fix it. Thanks again for the response, a lot of these kinda posts gets old to you vetarens.
