i have a 87 rx7 non turbo. i wanna hook up a aftermarket oil pressure guage. i know we have a built in one. can i use the oil line from it or tap in it to get a reading?

also if i were to put in a exhaust temp guage, can i use the sensor from the factory. i saw we have a warning light for exhaust temp and i thought maybe i could use it sence it has to be ablet to read temp.

Racing Beat makes an adapter plate.&nbsp FC3S.Org makes a nicer pedestal mount for the same thing.&nbsp I do not recommend tapping into the engine block for such an application.


You need to read up on what an EGT gauge does and how it works.&nbsp It runs off a dedicated thermocouple that's insert IN THE EXHAUST GAS FLOW.&nbsp The stock exhaust temp warning light is nothing but a thermo switch mounted under the passenger seat - this cannot be used as an EGT sensor of any kind.
