Oil pressure gauge, wtf?
I finished my swap yesterday, and tried firing it up. Well after a while of failure, I gave up and went back inside. Turns out I didn't plug in the solenoid resistor pack. Well I go outside and plug it in this morning and it fires up and RUNS on the second attempt. Hot damn.
Well, my problem is the oil pressure gauge. Last night, when I turned the key, the gauge went all the way past 110 psi, then kinda came back down slowly. I said "wtf." Well this morning when I turned the car on and it cranked, the gauge sat at 0 psi. I unscrewed the oil filter a little bit and oil poured out, so I am guessing I have some pressure.
Any ideas as to what is going on? Is there a wiring issure using a Turbo EM harness and ECU in an N/A, which causes the oil pressure gauge to not work properly?
It's an 87 Turbo in an 88 Convertible, btw. And I turned it off immediately after noticing the 0 psi and I haven't cranked it up since.

Could be three things, AFAIK:
1) Broken guage (unlikely since it's moved recently)
2) Bad wiring\short (likely)
3) Bad Oil Pressure Sender Unit (likely)
You and I have the exact same problem. However I'm NA and my motor is unbreakable so I can't be arsed to fix it quickly
