oil pressure gauge question
oil pressure gauge question
ok so i blew a water hose yesterday and rplaced it. the one that connects to the block by the spark plugs...i finished changing it and my car runs fine except for the oil pressure gauge not working.
so i was wondering if i could have unplugged it in the engine bay and were exactly its located so i can plug it back in and get it working? any help will be much appreciated :]

it looks like this: http://mazdatrix.com/pictures/o-elec...essSenderB.jpg
it's on the iron right above that coolant hose, there should be a wire right on the end connected to the nub thing.
hope this helps
yeah, it's right by there. you could have unplugged it or it could have gotten soaked in coolant and shorted out.

ok i think im screwed because i see it and no wire hooked to it, and i see a loose wire with a plug (i know it plugs somewere but i dont have a clue) and i also see a snapped wire that looks like it could have been connected too the nub... i hope its not it. :[
oh and just to add...the wire with the plug is orange with a red strip so hope this helps :] cause i need help lol

That hose is for the heater. The oil gauge is a little white plastic clip that connects to the the big bell thing near the back of the engine.
where i circled red.

I'll look at mine tomorrow if I can, I think my connector is actually thin and green, but I could just be remembering wrong, it's a little wierd, it just kind of slides laterally over the little metal nub on the end of the bell of the oil pressure sensor.
