Oil Pressure Gauge Problem

i installed my oil pressure gauge with the oil pedestal so i can use both stock and aftrmarket gauges. i have it all hooked up and checked the voltages and grounds with a multimeter but for some reason when i turn the car on the gauge pegs out at 100psi. stock gauge still works great.. but....any suggestions?

Either the sender is bad, or the wire is shorting to ground somewhere.

Yep...I have their catalog and it lists the sender seperately. It's at home right now so I can't get you the part number.

the wire your talking about grounding is the sender wire right? if so, ive visually checked it to make sure its not torn or anything.. how else would i figure out that its grounding? also, how would i check to see if the sender is bad?

Yes, the sender wire. To prove the wire is not shorted, just disconnect it at the gauge.
