hey i recently bought a stock 87t2, when purchased oil pressure gauge was unplugged and wen i plugged it in the reading jumped all the way up, so i thought the sensors were dirty so i cleaned it and still same results . any suggestions thanx

 

Attach a 142ohm resistor to the wire that connects to the oil sender and ground the other end of the resistor. With the key on the gauge should read about 60psi after a few minutes. Also, does the gauge read anything with the wire off the sender? If the gauge reads approx 60psi with the resistor in line(no sender) then you might try taking the sender apart and trying to readjust it. You have to really want to play to go that route.
