When I start the car up, my oil pressure shoots up to possibly 80-90 and gradually goes down. Is this something I should worry about? Anything particular I should check out or is this pretty normal? Thanks for the help.

 

Does your idle shoot up to 3k rpms on start up? Put your car in first gear and it won't 3k idle and your oil pressure won't be that high. But you don't want that high of oil pressure when the engine is cold.

 

Yeah it did shoot up to 3k rpm when I saw the pressure go that high. I'll give it a try.
