Oil Pressure Crap

Ok I know its been beaten into the ground but heres my problem, my oil pressure reads at 60psi at warm idle and goes up to 90+psi around 3k or so. The car is a 87 n/a no major mods except RB down pipe/pre silencer, K&N air filter, Blocked off egr. It has brand new oil cooler lines and i just changed the oil and used a mazda filter. I know the pressure isnt crazy high but im still concerned. Any ideas and help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks guys!!

the OEM filter always reads high, especially if you use 20w50.

I installed an autometer gauge yesterday, and what a difference from stock. At idle the stock would read about 20 and the a/m is at 40. I forgot what it was at WOT, but to answer your question the stock gauges are trash. They don't give accurate readings. So who knows how much oil pressure you got.

Stock gauges somethimes get whacked by some previous owner. Such as leaving the capacitor disconnected and then letting the oil pressure senders wire touch a ground, like the engine for an extended period of time. The capacitor is there to protect the gauge during events like that (I just made that up. Sounds reasonable to me). It's always the Previous Owner. Never US.
