Oil Pressure?

Hey guys, I've got a question on oil pressure. When I start my rx up in the morning the oil pressure is great, no problem and stays right dead center of the pressure guage... now after about 3 minutes of driving, i find that my oil pressure guage drops somewhere just above the 1/4 mark, then after about 10 minutes of driving it goes back to normal? I'm running 20W50 in it, pretty thick oil... Any idea's? Sensor? or is it just a normal thing for Rx's to do?

my 88 'vert always did that until I swapped the E-shaft oil thermo valve to a bypass plug.

You should look into getting an after-market oil pressure gauge, the stock gauges are known for its errors.
