eh?
i dont understand why you would change the pan gasket when changing the oil? is it leaking badly? you've got to take of the motor mount to change the pan gasket. if you are then you can either buy the cork gasket from mazda (bout 20bux) or use RTV sealer

Clean your engine by running extra marvel mystery oil in the motor and changing the oil every 1000 miles. Do this like 3 times and it should clean a lot of crap out every time, then change your oil every 2k miles after that to make sure it stays as clean as possible.
Marvel oil has a high detergant content and should clean you up a bit. Also can be used instead of ATF for the atf trick.

Actually I have another dumb idea. Does anyone know if the oil fill cap drops the oil directly to the oil pan???? If it does, you can run something like karosene right through to wash up the pan.
Also I hear diesel motor oil will heavily deslugde a rotary motor and should be changed after 500 miles.

not really a need to do that
rotary engines do not get sludge or build up in the oil pan like piston engines can, but if you want pull it off. i doubt you'll find anything worth cleaning
yes the filler cap goes directly into the oil pan
