Oil mixed with gas???

I talked to someone and he said he pulled out his oil system and instead mixes about 8 ounces of oil into every tank of gas he gets. He said that the oil hits the rotor in every area instead of just the sides with the normal fuel system and that his way lubes everything better? Has anyone else heard of this being done and if so how is it? Does it work well or is it bad to do?

search under my user name and pre-mix or pre-mix write-up

You will find enough to hold you down for a week.

Yes, it is called premixing. And a fair amount of rotary owners do it.

Some say that if offers better protection and lubrication than the stock oil metering system, but I have yet to see any proof of this. If the oil metering system is working properly, it does just as good a job as premixing. For the S5's, it is probably a good idea though since the system that S5 uses is electronic and not mechanical like the S4's. That makes it more prone to failure over the S4 or so I have read.

It is not bad to do this, just a different approach to lubricating the seals. You can even run premix while you have the stock system running, just use a little less in the gas tank. Hope this helps.
