TX Oil Metering pump swapout???

I searched but didnt find a satisfactory answer to my question, which is:

Can you put an s4 Mechanical Metering Pump on an s5 block to replace the Electrical one, and if so, would there be any need to jumper any connectors to make it work?

Any input and i guess flaming is fine with me lol...
bring it on

Thanks!

Short answer: yes, you can remove it from the front cover... but no, you can't unplug it. The ECU will go into limp mode.

you will have to custom fabricate the upper mounting point for the OMP rod at the throttle bode, because s5 TB doesn't have one and you cant use s4 TB cause the TPS is different.

If you are doing this because your S5 Metering Oil Pump is bad then putting on an S4 unit will not help you get rid of Limp Home Mode. If you are using an EMS then all you would have to do is custom mount it and setup the throttle link with a custom mount and off you go. Although I don't remember if the stock lines are identical for both series. You'd probably be better off with the aftermarket/custom lines people use when the stock ones break.

Rtek has a chip that will allow you to run a s4 MOP without having the ECU go into limp mode.
