Oil metering Pump gap?

Is the Oil metering pump (as far as the manual tells me) supposed too have a small gap around the connection as shown in the picture ? :S

Wrong MOP/front cover combination?

Not sure offhand if the S4 and S5 MOP mounting flanges are different.

it's normal ...

only thing u need to worry about is the right OMP o-ring, if it's wrong, it won't fit and u will get a leak.

That's correct. I remember I had the same question when I rebuilt mine. Luckily, I took pictures before the teardown so I could see it pre-existed.
