Exclamation Oil metering lines

I just broke one....yea!!! im pissed. was working on cleaning and accidentally pulled on one.

tomorrow im going to order all 4 from mazdatrix. i cant beleive these are made out of plasitic. has anyone ever made custom ones? like maybe ss braided or rubber or silicone. just something stronger.

now i have to take off the dang upper manifold.

yeah i did that when installing my new engine

It broke RIGHT by the end that goes into the housing. So i jammed the oil injector into the plastic and reclamped teh little metal piece. Is seems to be holding strongly... If it broke, would this trigger an error code??? If it broke yould see oil dripping off the engine while running, right??

PS, IF it did break, how long does an engine last w/o it???'

Ahh... To answer your ? i think that plastic is the BEST for that...

your engine will last about 24hrs if you dont have those. you cant uses silicon hose it will disintegrate
