Just got back from doing a load of work on my car today....and it took forever, so I thought I'd rant about it here.

Firstly, my speedo cable broke....which sucked, so I figured I could change that pretty quick and easy..and on my way, my large oil cooler (the two high pressure lines) started leaking. On my last Rx, when it did that, it dropped all oil in the engine on the pavement in less than a few seconds.

After searching around, I saw those lines were $$$$$....so I had my dad build some at work w/ all new connectors and everything. The lines are huuugee....nice high quality (on the lines it shows it can take up to 2750 PSI of pressure). Was a pain to get it on, but now my oil pressure is great, and no more leaks!

Then on to the speedo cable....well, who knew it was sooo hard to get one. Mazda said they could get me one, for $60 and a week of waiting (what the hell?!?!?). I went to all the local parts stores, and everyone said "we can order it"....one part store the old guy behind the counter went off about the Rx7 and how Mazda doesn't make any parts for "THAT" car...and good luck getting anything for it. Uggggh.

Luckily I found a extra one in my parents shack o' parts...

Then I figured I might as well change my tranny and differential fluid (with some Redline)....boy was that a smelly pain in the ****.

Anywayz....I don't know the point of this...just had to rant...took my whole day because all the "little" things that always happens whenever I work on my car.

The good thing is I have those sweet oil lines on my car...and I can tell how fast I'm going again (is that really a good thing though?!? ).
