Oil line question

i have an 86 gxl.. n/a and i am currently doing my own motor swap.. replacement motor. so i found these lines and i have a question about them.. what are they called? there is four of them. they look like oil lines that connect from the bottem near the oil pan and up in towards the intake manifold. i need to buy new ones because they are old and brittle. they are orange and very thin. i've tried checking the FSM and they show it in there but there is no name for them. i've searched the forum but i don't know what exactly that i am looking for since i don't know what they're called. can someone help me out please?

I beleive that they are for the oil metering pump. try searching now using the abbreviation OMP.

those are very important unless you are going to premix you gasoline.

yes do get new ones... and they attach to the oil metering pump and the oil injectors.

when you reasemble your project you should make sure the omp (oil meter pump) the lines and the injectors are in good working order. it would also be good to replace your oil pump as well just to make sure youre getting sufficiant pressure.

otherwise if you would like to omit the system completely then search premix

its just like mixin gas for your weed eater or leaf blower. it just takes a lot more oil when you fill your gas tank.

have fun
