Oil leaking from turbo, inside intercooler, smokes alot

we got this problem on my cousin fc, before we replace anything i just want to make sure its the turbo and not the engine seals
the car started leaking oil, then alot of blue/white smoke started coming out so much in 5mins we had the car running the fire fighters came lol. we checked the intercooler and there's alot of oil, we checked the spark plugs and they are clean. the car start and stays on.
its the turbo right? and not the engine?

If the oil is in the intercooler, then yeah, it's going to be the turbo. Seals are toast.

Yes, it will work but you need the manifold, heat shields, and have to cap off the twin scroll. Also might as well port the turbo.

$96 rebuild kit: http://gpopshop.com/hitachi-turbo-rebuild-kits. T3 rebuild kits with the carbon seal work for the Hitachi HT-18.

I can't tell anything from the picture, but assuming it is leaking oil into the compressor, yes it will still build boost. You'll just burn lots of oil.

i posted the pic so u could see da pool of oil at the bottom of the compressor. i was thinking the oil consumption would affect performance... cause i thought a TII would be a bit quicker.. but i guess what i have is 200 tired horses
