Slave cylinder ground

The wire that grounds the slave cylinder on my 91 turbo broke. (it's the wire that has a resistor with a metal loop that goes under the bolt for the slave cylinder onto the bell housing and the other end has a white connector.) The wire broke off at the resistor and looks unsolderable. Is this a easy part to find? Thoughts?

I believe you're talking about this? Its an Oil Sender Condenser. The little wire is about to break off of mine too.

It is the Condenser (capacitor) for the Oil Pressure Sender. It is needed to protect the oil pressure gauge from burning out in the event of sender failure, and for smoothing any erratic pluses from the sender.

Yep. That's exactly it. What happens if you don't have one hooked up? Ir if the wire broke while driving?

Nothing happens really.
I'd bet that the majority of RX's are missing that condenser.
The condenser is a safety device- almost like a fuse- for the gauge...most aftermarket gauges don't have 'em either.
