oil leak at the oil level sensor...

to my knowledge, there is no gasket for this, right, it just gets bolted on the oil pan. anyone have tips for fixing this if bolting it down harder doesn't work?

i was thinking making my own gasket and using some gasket sealer on it....any other alternatives or advice on doing this (good idea/bad idea)?

john

ps - this is on a 91 n/a

Replace it.
It's supposed to be sealed internally, but oil does get around the seal for some vehicles.&nbsp Trying to pry open the sensor and fixing the seal will most likely kill the sensor itself.

is it a level sensor or a pressure sensor? it shouldn't be any more than couple of dollars for that part.
