Oil Leak And I Am Freaking Out!

i had the same problem. It was my oil cooler line. Take the underbelly splash guard off, so u can see clearly. Find the big front mount oil cooler and the 2 lines connected to it. If it looks like it is wet or drenched in oil than, this could be your prob.
Mine leaked at the connection to the oil cooler. If the connections look clean and dry.(not your prob) also follow the lines back to where they meet with the block.

I wouldn't trust the stock gauge at all unless the sending unit has been recently replaced.
My stock gauge reads just above 0 at idle and hits about 40-50psi above 3K RPM while the new SPI gauge reads @30 to 80psi under the same conditions.
I believe the new gauge/sending unit over the 16 year old set....

Just anyways what causes this? wear and tear?

hey man you'll be ok to drive around short distances as long as you monitor the oil level. to and from work and around town is fine. just dont plan on any 100m trips anytime soon. i had the same problem with mine and it would leave around the same amount of an oil puddle.
i'm willing to be it's the oil cooler line also. its not hard to replace the lines or the cooler. if it was the omp lines you'd know and see them leaking and dripping from the motor.

Could be oil pan gasket, OMP, oil cooler lines, or just a missing o-ring gasket on the oil filter. Have you change your oil/filter lately? Clean up the engine then go from there. Changing the OMP line are harder then you think, your have to take off the whole throttle body along with gas/vacuum lines. So use that as a last resort!! I just did a TB swap, it was moderate but time consuming.

my oil gauge works
my oil gauge actually works, it does read above 30 PSI when i am stop and around 60 when I am driving, and when I am really driving or going at it it does read over 60. Anyways, I still havent had time to check on it. I checked the oil, but it still good, like it hasnt gone down, but I know its leaking though, cause I see it on the floor, I need to find time after work to check it out and get under the car.
But just anyways does ANYONE has any oil lines I can have? or buy?
if that is the case.
THank you guys for the help!!
Ken
PS, does any rotary head live around Chinatown? Like around downtown LA?

you mean that volt when you change the oil? well I am pretty sure its not leaking from there. but there is a wistleling sound sometimes when I drive. that is why I think it could be a hose, and therefore the oil lines, but I need to check it out, take pics of it, and post them .

+1 for it probably being the oil cooler lines. Same thing happened to me however instead of leaking from the connection to the cooler the oil was just seeping through the entire rotting hose. I drove it this way for over a month, probably not a good idea. Also, if it is the connection to the cooler you DO NOT want to overtighten it.
I realize cash is tight however this is enough of a PITA to fix that I believe you should not reuse someone elses lines.
Corksport has the best deal I found and they work great...

even a hair line crack in ur oil cooler will produce the leak u r talking about. it happened to me. id suggest inspecting the oil cooler when u replace the lines. my crack was on the inside of the threading all the way to where the crush washer mates the oil line and the cooler. this was for the top oil cooler line.
