Angry oil injector port problems

Hello, i removed my oil metering system and when i did i installed those little plugs that pineapple racing sells to block off the oil injector holes in the rotor housing, well i tore my intake manifold off the other day to do some work on the car and i discovered that one of the plugs fell out!!! so i had an open hole in the rotor housing...anyone know if this could have cause any damage or what exactly this could have been doing to the motor? maybe vacuum leak or something else?

well im running a microtech so i dont think that would have effected anything would it? The car did seem to be idling pretty rough, could this have been the cause?

Yes. If the ECU doesn't know about the extra volume of air entering the combustion chamber, the mixture will be all wrong. You may not notice under load, but at idle, it'd be really obvious. Also, hopefully your seals are ok, since a leak there could have sucked all sorts of debris into the engine. A compression test might be in order.

i thought that when you have a stand alone ecu it automatically adjusts to extra air coming in ie. vacuum leak...that hole is super tiny though, the hole on the outside is kinda big but if you look at it from the inside of the rotor housing it is about the size of a pencil point, i dont think anything that small would do much to the seals even if by some chance it fit through that tiny hole...
