Oil Injection Question????

How can u tell if the oil injection system is working right??? I haven't notice much of a drop in the level of oil on the dipstick and im coming up to almost 2,000 miles into an oil change?? Is this normal??? Or should it be injecting more on my 91/na??

There are test procedures in both the FSM and Haynes manuals for ops checking the MOP system. Basically you can rig up a couple of test lines to the pump's output channels and measure the flow quantities....

really it depends on how hard you drive it, they inject different amounts depending on rpm. if you dont rip around town all day you wont use very much oil, but i would still check the omp

on an s5 i think the only time the omp will throw a code is if its disconnected, thats why people leave it dangling by the plug when they premix

the way its meters is a bar by the tb, atleast on the s4 anyways. the mor throtle you use, the more oil that is injected. the 25 is mechanichal and i have no idea how that works. probobly bt the tps voltage or some bull honkie. o well, just run premix. one way you can tell is get an oil change, and see if the clean oil is runing throigh the lines.

i would just go premix dude.,

i just switched to premix because when doing an s5 intake swap i broke the oil lines and it was easier to just block it off instead of find new lines, now i dont have to worry about it
