OIL Hose

Ok I have a S4 N/A %speed Stock. i had it in the shop to have the Starter Driveshaft and Rear end Mount replaced. Was on the way home from picking it up and i Lost ALL Oil pressure. I had Previously removed the Oil Cooler and Clamped a Hose to the Lines because the Cooler was Massively Leaking. Now it Just comes off even with Hose Clamps Tight as Hell!! Oil Pressure when its running and On it doesnt go above 35psi.

Don't run without an oil cooler! It's there for a reason. Without it, you can cook the rotors and scrap the engine.

If you're stating that your hack job bypass hose is blowing off, I'm not surprised. Oil pressure gets up to ~65PSI. I believe the cooler is before the pressure regulator also, so the pressures could be even higher. You may think your hose clamps are tight, but did you take a look at the banjo bolt at the rear iron? That will show you what you're up against.

the solution is to purchase new oil lines, OEM or quality aftermarket, and install them correctly according to the proper procedure.

Whoa?! Whoa???!!!

Why?

Get an oil cooler and use lines with fittings. See mazdamatrix and rotary-works. Better hope your engine is still well.

The oil cooler has a thermostat, but not a pressure regulator. And your Dad is right about the lines leaking. After 20+ years, almost every set of original lines will be leaking. Racingbeat, Mazdatrix, Corksport and your local Mazda dealer can supply new lines.

I took my OC lines to a local hydraulic shop and got replacements made with new hoses on my old ends.

I probably should have mentioned this before: the hydraulic shop cost me $5 and a 12 pack of Heinekin.
Don't get me wrong, I'm happy for you and the corksport guys; I just hope the extra $$ is worth the peace of mind.
Trust me, I've spent plenty on things for the car that other people question.
Aloha,
~j
