Oil cooler and Signal lights questions

Hello, I know it's been a while since I've posted, and it seems that all I ever do is ask for help, sorry about that, but here's more >.<

How important is the oil cooler for the FC3S? I'm assuming it's important, and I see "black caked sludge" in the oil cooler fins. I'm assuming it's oil mixed with lots of dirt.

Should I try to clean it out or just purchase another oil cooler?

How much would an oil cooler cost? Is the O.E.M. oil cooler the best there is, or are there any aftermarket ones that are more reliable?

If I can clean it out, how should I go about doing it? Vaccum? Air compressor? Soak in degreaser and use brush?

My FC also only signals to the left. I checked all the fuses in the driver kick panel, and I don't know if there might be any other fuses I should check, but all those fuses are fine. My signals will NOT signal right. They don't even work when I turn on the hazards, so when I push the hazard button, it looks like I'm signaling left.

Any help will be very appreciated. Thank you for taking the time to view this.

30% of engine cooling according to Mazda.

No harm in trying to clean the crud out. Soak it down with degreaser, let it sit for a little while and then blast with a garden hose. A pressure washer can be used carefully.

From Mazda, you're looking at close to $1000. There are several aftermarket coolers that will do the job for about half that, but none are direct bolt in.

But I certainly wouldn't go replacing an oil cooler because it's dirty.

Bulbs? Also the CPU is notorious for cold solder joints. Since it contains the flasher relay, that would be the 2nd place to check.
